Marco A. Rivera started San Rafael Concrete in 2020after more than a decade working concrete jobs across the Bay Area. He grew up in Marin County and decided to build something local rather than drive an hour each way to someone else's territory.
San Rafael is a city with real variety. Hillside homes above Dominican with steep grades and expansive clay soils. Flat lots in Terra Linda. Aging sidewalks near the Canal neighborhood. Older foundations in the streets surrounding Mission San Rafael Arcángel. The work is different on every block, and that variety is what makes it worth showing up for.
The business has stayed deliberately local. We cover 12 communities in and around Marin County and the East Bay. We know the permit offices, the soil conditions, and the neighborhoods. That local knowledge is what keeps customers calling back and referring their neighbors.
Every estimate includes a line-by-line scope of work. No vague quotes, no surprise charges after the pour.
You plan your life around the project start date. When we say Monday, we mean Monday — and we call you the day before to confirm.
Our crew works in San Rafael and surrounding Marin County communities. We know the soil conditions, the permit offices, and the neighborhoods.
Concrete work is messy. We manage the mess, including forms, spoils, and equipment, and do a final walkthrough before packing up.
Licensed, bonded, and insured. Serving San Rafael since 2020.
Issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), the C-8 classification authorizes us to form, pour, place, finish, and install all types of concrete flatwork and structural concrete. You can verify our license status at any time through the CSLB online lookup tool at cslb.ca.gov.
We carry general liability insurance at the coverage level required by the City of San Rafael for work in the public right-of-way, naming the City as an additional insured where required. This protects your property if something goes wrong on the job.
Every crew member working on your property is covered by workers' compensation insurance. If an injury occurs on your job site, your homeowner's policy is not exposed.
As a CSLB-licensed contractor, we maintain the required contractor's bond. This gives you a formal financial remedy if a project is abandoned or fails to meet the agreed scope, a protection that disappears when you hire an unlicensed contractor.
San Rafael Concrete operates across 12 cities in Marin County, the North Bay, and the East Bay.
